Privacy policy

Privacy policy

I take your privacy, and mine, very seriously. I do not collect any personal information when you visit this site.

However, if you fill in a contact form, or send me an email, I will only use the details you send to me to provide whatever information that you have requested, for example adding you to my newsletter list. I do not and will not pass on your details to anyone else (except if required to by law).

GDPR

I believe that the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a fantastic initiative to protect everyone’s data and have done everything I can to ensure that this site is fully GDPR compliant.

Cookie policy

I have an anti-cookie policy, and therefore disabled as many cookies as possible from this site. However, this website does use a ‘Session Cookie’ to function. This doesn’t record any personal information, but it does remember things like whether you clicked ‘Accept’ or ‘Reject’ on the Cookie Banner.

The Session Cookie expires when you close your web browser, and this is why the cookie banner will pop up again the next time you visit. (Sorry about that! Lots of sites don’t use cookie banners at all, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t using cookies. They probably are: they’re just not asking your permission to use them.)

When you first open this website, you can decide whether to Accept or Reject cookies on this site. If you really, really dislike cookies as much as I do, you can disable all cookies on all sites directly in your browser (each browser has its own settings), and you can also manually delete cookies each time you use the internet.

There’s another kind of cookie, which is the Third Party Cookie, and I don’t use those either. These are cookies set by other websites, usually for the purposes of advertising and sometimes social media. This is why I don’t have any ‘share to social media’ buttons on this site.
